Local Attractions
The Lizard peninsula is an area of outstanding natural beauty with a rugged coastline with many beautiful beaches, coves and open moorland. The area has a fascinating History of smuggling and shipwrecks and is an area which attracts Geologists due to the unique rock types and geological structures. Some of the beaches can be busy in the summer but just a short walk along the coastal path will lead you to many quieter and more scenic coves. Places to visit
Roskillys Farm
Roskillys farm, (just outside the village, a lovely walk across the fields) at Tregellast Barton a great family day out, there are walks around the ponds, children can feed the pigs and ducks and see the Jersey cows grazing in the fields. The Croust house is open for food cooked in their wood burning stoves and an Ice cream parlour selling their own Organic Ice cream
Coverack windsurfing Centre
Located in Coverack in the South West of Cornwall, Coverack Windsurfing Centre offers RYA windsurfing tuition for both beginner and advanced sailors. We also hire Stand Up Paddleboarding Boards and Kayaks. With such a wide selection of activities it’s the destination of choice for individuals and families on South West Cornwall’s stunning coastline.
Cornish Pisky Pals Pisky Trails
A great way to spend some time in Coverack. In holiday times there are lots of little Piskies hiding in Coverack for you to find. Each one has a name and the first letter of each name spells out a phrase.
Trails can be purchased from the Old Mill Shop.
Terence Coventry sculpture garden
Free admission just south of Coverack with easy access from the old coastal path.
South West Coast Path
Coverack Camping at Penmarth Farm is the ideal place to explore the South West Coast Path from. Head out to Kennack Sands or a short walk from the village to Lowland Point, for the more energetic carry on to Porthallow the mid point of the South Coast Path, either direction offers amazing views.
Coverack Village & Harbour
A wonderful place to relax and watch the local fishermen land their catch, a favourite place for many locals and visitors to sit with a beer and Fish and chips on a summers evening.

Coverack Bay
The sandy beach in Coverack is an easy walk down from the campsite via “Lovers Walk” from the campsite, along the coast there are a number of beaches which can be accessed from the coastal path, the nearest Mears beach is a 10 minutes’ walk. Further along the coast are the beaches at Lankidden and Downas are worth the extra effort to access them. Downas is a favourite spot of the campsite owner for a swim and picnic.

Diving nearby at Porthkerris. The manacles are nearby, a famous area for diving amongst the many shipwrecks in the area
Coast Colour Canvas Art Gallery
A contemporary art gallery based at Roskilly’s Farm, featuring new guest artists each week showcasing the work of local artists inspired by the beauty and charm of the area.
Sally Tully Ceramics
Sally Tully (participant on The Great Pottery throw down) runs Pottery courses at Roskillys Farm.

Croust House Restaurant at Roskillys
Everything is homemade at the farm and includes homemade burgers, smoked meats from the American style smoker, wood fired oven pizzas and a variety of fresh salads as well as lots of cakes, yummy pies!
A good range of hot and cold dishes appear on the menus, using fresh, locally caught fish and organically reared beef, pork and lamb

The Loft overlooking Coverack Harbour serves fantastic coffees, cakes and drinks.

The Bay Hotel
A warm welcome greets you. Enjoy a bar meal overlooking the bay or eat in the restaurant. The hotel is dog friendly and commands stunning views over the bay.
The Lifeboat House
Fish and chips taste so much better by the sea, enjoy a takeaway sat on the harbour walk soaking up the sunshine. The Lifeboat House serves an excellent choice of food and drinks to take away or eat in. Check the website for the menu and specials.
The Paris Hotel
Always a great selection of food and drinks served daily. check out the views from the beer garden too often a chance to spot seals and occasionally dolphins. Check the website for menu. Booking is recommended.
