Coverack Camping is a basic no frills eco campsite located just above the picturesque fishing village of Coverack on the East side of the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall suitable for tents, small caravans and campervans.
Solar PV, with battery storage and mains electric back up.
Coverack Camping at Penmarth Farm, is set in 7 acres, separated into 6 individual fields with differing characters some with sea views, all surrounded by traditional Cornish Hedges that are full of native flora and fauna, providing shelter from the prevailing winds. It is a tranquil setting that has changed little in the past 50 years that it has been a campsite.
It is just 5 minutes to Coverack Beach and harbour via a private valley walk, known as Lover’s Walk. Coverack although a small village does provide most essentials, with a village store, pub, takeaways, restaurant and café. See our guides for what to do and where to eat while you are here.
Fantastic site with relaxed atmosphere. Quirky loos and showers which work really. It’s a short walk to the village two gorgeous beaches and the sw coast path. This is our second visit and will return. Cannot recommend highly enough.
What can I say?! We had the most amazing stay. The site, facilities and Sam and Issac were all brilliant and came to our rescue when we realised that our extension for EHU was too short. The site itself is truly beautiful. No one is on top of each other and all the fields offer very different views from each other, especially the sea view, which in itself is astoundingly beautiful.
No one is on top of each other and all the fields offer very different views from each other, especially the sea view, which in itself is astoundingly beautiful. The facilities are first rate. They were cleaned twice a day and I am now a total covert to a composting toilet. The showers were lovely and warm. A great section for washing your pots along side benches with the option to charge your electronics if needed. There’s a wonderful walk down to Coverack beach and the Paris pub from the site. Staying here has so much to offer. You are no further than a 30 minute drive in any direction to some of the most breathtaking views of the Cornish coast. We didn’t want to leave and we’ll definitely be back, (which for us is unusual!) Thank you Sam and Issac and thank you Coverack. You’d be daft not to stay.
Beautiful views towards the coast from many pitches on this basic campsite. Compost loos are kept clean, there are hot showers, washing up facilities and a covered area with power supply and freezer for ice-packs. Friendly staff and a perfect location for exploring the South West Coastal path in this geologically unique area of Britain. Close to the charming village of Coverack for shopping necessities.
We absolutely loved this campsite. Our second visit. Beautiful views, peaceful, close to the sea, great walks, clean facilities and such friendly helpful people. Looking forward to next time.
As Coverack is an official section finish for the SWCP this site was perfect. You have to work a little more to climb the hill but it’s soon forgotten after a hot shower. Lots of space good showers, toilets and covered eating area and close to pub.
2nd time, if travelling to this area we would certainly stay here again, nice position for beach, walking, and places of interest nearby nice size pitches not jammed in like most other places
A great place to camp – a thoughtfully designed and maintained campsite with spacious pitches, good facilities (inc phone charging & freezers). Beautiful views and lovely location.
